(More customer reviews)If I had known that there was not a way to attach the lamp shade to the lamp, I would not have made this purchase. The lamp shade is the kind that just sits right on top of the light bulb!... not quite what I was looking for. You can't tell this by the pictures and I actually returned the first lamp thinking it was missing the piece that holds the shade above the lamp and bulb. However, when my second one arrived, I realized this was just the design of the lamp and now I'm quite disappointed because the shade rests too low when it's on the bulb and it just looks funny when you can see over the top of it and the light bulb is holding up the shade!
