(More customer reviews)Attracted by the clean design and style of this line, my wife and I registered for several BeanSprout items in anticipation of our baby's arrival. To date, every single item we've received from the company (five items to date) has either arrived broken or fallen apart in our hands. It's embarrassing when people ask how we liked their rather expensive gifts, and we have to tell them we returned them in favor of something less shoddy.
In the case of this lamp, the fabric on the shade didn't even appear to be attached (glued, stitched or otherwise) to the frame, and the whole thing fell apart as soon as we removed the styrofoam packaging. This brings "Made in China" to a whole new low.
I'd be disappointed by the quality even if I'd picked these items up at a dime store for a fraction of the price.Avoid BeanSprout by all means until the manufacturer learns to include "quality control" in their process.
